Cafe Franck in Cologne

There are already a lot of reviews, but I would still like to add something here. We like to stop by and enjoy really delicious cakes. Then add a coffee or espresso. The whole thing is rounded off by a very nice staff. That's why there's the full number of stars.

Great little Cafe with espresso and cakes/pies. Weel managed to-go sequence but you can tell it would be a pleasant place to sit and relax in non-COVID times.

Be sure to try the chocolate and lemon-almond! Tip: There is always a piece of cake with your coffee!

Great coffee and great cake

As a little boy I went to get cakes from Grandma Franck's and it's still the best cake in Ehrenfeld today.

Very good quality cakes / pies. The breakfast is lovingly garnished and very generous. Very recommendable.

We were here for the first time, I came on recommendation. Cake & coffee super not sweet, was perfect. Ambience, I find the seating options very uncomfortable, not nice and uncomfortable. For the most part very low, not suitable for eating. I didn't like it, I highly recommend cake to take away. Toilet very dirty, but with the ladies. That you can't pay at the table, well not that great, but that's how it is. Service well, not really that great.

Despite the currently stricter requirements, we were able to "reserve" a table without a reservation and have breakfast until the next place was free - thank you very much! The furnishing is special and one way or another showing its age but charming. The service is nice, unobtrusive and there for you if you want. The breakfast and drinks offer basically means something for every taste. So, a well-rounded visit. Merci

I just say CAKE and PIE. :-D Always my pleasure! Whether to take away or enjoy on site with a very tasty coffee / coffee mixed drink in a cozy atmosphere -> TOP Sometimes you need a little patience, but I think it's definitely worth it! And in the hot summer: Americano iced coffee - very tasty - refreshing and invigorating.

When we actually wanted to leave after about 20 minutes, the table was recognized by the waitresses as belonging to the shop and we were served in a friendly manner. Breakfast! The ratio of rolls to cold cuts was unfortunately 3: 1 for me, but overall it was delicious and nicely decorated. Special curls were gladly and well received.

Consistently good quality cakes / tarts, the breakfast sets are lovingly decorated and very generous. Highlight for me: the vegan chocolate cake!

Coffee delicious, Location very good, Cake delicious too, but not the Oberhammer, Card payment only from 15 € -> that's annoying!

Friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere, the volume of the music is so that you can talk and don't feel like shouting. What I'm particularly happy about is more understandable through an example that I sat in the café for eight hours and was asked about 2-3 times by the staff whether I would like something else, which made it much more comfortable. Simply for the reason that it seems much quieter and gives a feeling that you are welcome here. Of course, you can also contact us if you still want something. The prices and in comparison to the quality are justified but not overpriced.

Very cute 60s style cafe. Good selection of breakfast compilations. Great cakes, all also to take away. Large selection of coffee specialties and teas. Has also been seen in various television films.

We recently rediscovered Café Franck and were delighted when we visited. The selection is large and the homemade cakes are very tasty. My personal favorite is the cheese cream cake. The service is also great. The staff are always friendly and always smile. I look forward to our next visit to Café Franck!

Cozy café in retro style. The cakes made in-house are delicious and many simply buy them directly at home. There is a lot going on here, especially on weekends. The spacious upholstered furniture is particularly cozy. Always nice here.

Nice atmosphere.

While it is located on a big street, making it loud at times, the place is nice and cosy. The inside is old-school and warm and the outside, very pleasant. The choco cake and the cappuccino were great. A visit is a must.

Good vibe and friendly staff for foreigners

I've been going here for years and have yet to be disappointed. My favorite spot for breakfast and coffee in Cologne - everything is freshly prepared and the staff puts a lot of love and attention to detail into every single plate. Cake is great as well. Best value for money when it comes to breakfast.

Breakfast options aren't too great, very light but their baked goods are really good. Cappuccino was decent though portions are small. A good try for light brunch.
